Module 47 · Shift and up

Every fryer, chiller and AC on one register, with its services and repairs.

The kit an outlet runs on, when each piece is next due a service, and what every breakdown cost in money and hours, kept in Compliance beside the rest of your checks.

How it works

Register it, schedule it, log what happens.

Register the kitEach piece with its make, serial, warranty and provider, and the service schedules it needs.
Follow the scheduleServices fall due on the calendar and on the Due list, overdue first.
Log and cost itServices, breakdowns, repairs and inspections, each with its date, provider, cost and hours down.

What is in it

Equipment, feature by feature.

AC and chiller servicing run on schedules that land on the calendar, and a repair's VAT and tax invoice are recorded with its cost in dirhams.

Equipment register

Make, model, serial number, purchase date and cost, warranty end, usual provider and where it sits, for each piece.

Breakdowns and repairs

A breakdown marks the piece down until a repair is logged. Nobody sets or clears down by hand.

Service schedules

Tasks such as cleaning the condenser coil every 90 days, listed overdue first, then due in the next 30 days.

Service schedules

On the calendar

Every service falling due appears on the calendar for its month, linked to the piece it belongs to.

Cost and downtime

Maintenance cost and hours down for each piece over a date range, with a CSV.

Costs to Expenses

A log with a cost books one expense under Repairs & maintenance, paid from the till, the bank, a card or the owner.

Voids undo it all

Voiding a log voids its expense, rolls its schedules back and works out the status again. Logs are never edited.

Questions it answers

The four you will ask it first.

  • What is overdue for service at Al Seef?
  • Which equipment was down longest this quarter?
  • What did repairs cost us last month?
  • Which pieces are still under warranty?

Before you believe it

The three questions everyone asks.

Is the purchase cost of a fryer booked as an expense?

No. The purchase cost is a record on the register only. It is capital, usually bought long before, and never booked here.

Does a repair reach the P&L?

Yes. A log with a cost books one expense under Repairs & maintenance, dated the day it happened, from the source you choose.

Do I need Compliance to use it?

Yes. It is the Equipment tab inside Compliance and shares its service providers. Both are on Shift.
